At around 10:30 AM on September 3rd, Las Vegas police were called out to a residence in Bronze Circle. Once they arrived, police discovered 69-year-old Jeff German fatally stabbed in what appears to be an “isolated incident.”
Jeff German has been a reporter for the Las Vegas Review-Journal for over 40 years. An autopsy confirmed that he passed away as a result of multiple stab wounds.
Authorities believe German and another person got into an altercation outside of the victim’s home prior to the stabbing. Las Vegas police released images on Tuesday of what they believe to be the suspect’s vehicle. The suspect is believed to be driving a 2007-2014 red GMC Yukon Denali. Authorities further specified that the vehicle has chrome handles, a luggage rack, and a sunroof.
On Monday, police also released footage that appears to show the suspect walking down a sidewalk. The individual, who has not been identified as a male or female yet, was wearing an orange long-sleeve shirt with reflective strips, regular blue jeans, and gray shoes. Authorities further stated that the suspect was carrying a shoulder bag and wearing a wide straw hat.
Police have not yet confirmed whether this recent stabbing has anything to do with the string of burglaries in the neighborhood.

In the crime described above, the suspect clearly murdered the victim. In Las Vegas, first-degree murder is defined a s premeditated killing, whereas second-degree murder is defined as an unintentional killing that happens as a result of recklessness or carelessness.
